I had been searching for a good quality djembe for months and visited at least a dozen stores, even stores that specialized in drums and percussion instruments. In every case I was disappointed by the quality and workmanship on the drums I saw (many had cracked or dried out shells and skins in poor shape)- furthermore they were all priced upwards of $250. and the sellers didn't have any insight or knowledge about the drums they were selling. I turned to the Internet hoping to find info on stores that were in my area and I stumbled onto ireitones.com. One of the djembe options from irietones was exactly what I'd been seeking and the price was great, so I emailed them for info and Andy got right back to me and answered all of my questions. I was apprehensive about buying a drum without seeing it, but since Andy was so responsive and helpful, I figured it was worth the chance. I received the djembe a few days ago and I have to say, it exceeds all of my expectations. The workmanship is superior, the skin is in great condition and it looks beautiful (I had requested that they send a darker colored drum and they accommodated me). After a long search it's very satisfying to finally find what you're looking for and to find a company that puts you at ease with their knowledge and customer service. Thank you. |

When I first played my new drum, I wondered at what appeared to be a very subdued sound, with no resonance whatsoever... then I lifted it from the rug and played it while holding it between my knees, and quickly discovered my mistake! :>) I thought this might be a funny story to share with other "new" drummers, and did also want to let you know that I do love the drum, thank you. |

I reciently purchased a drum from you.
It is wonderful. I must admit it wasn't as big as I was expecting.
I was very hesitent in the first place to buy a drum that I had never
layed eyes on. I let it sit, untouched, for the first day. The next
evening I met my class for dance practice. I brought that drum "just
to see how it would work out". I loved it! Very nice strong sound.
I've been playing Ghanaian drums for 3 yrs now and I have now found

Not only is it the most beautiful drum I've seen, but it is large,
and with me being a big guy, I needed a large drum like this. My first
