Tapered Dunun Mallet

If you prefer to have a handle on your mallet with a very thick tip this is the one for you. It works very well for thick-skinned drums, like the dunumba or sangba dunun, and is not well suited for thinner skins like the talking drum. It features a smooth finish with stylish pinstripes, is handmade in West Africa, and is the default mallet included with our dununs. All tapered dunun mallets are covered by our warranty, and are roughly the same size. NOTE: Beaters should never be used on high tension drums with thinner animal skins. This includes most djembes, ashikos, doumbeks, etc. If you are not sure whether mallet use is appropriate for your particular drum, contact us and we'll try to help.
