Professional Djembe 14x25 DK101
This djembe has a stunning appearance, with the large, angular bowl and flared stem, and high contrast wood grains. The sound is an ideal semi-dry quality with great projection and clarity. Along with a money back guarantee, here is what this professional djembe features:
- 13.5" OSD wood, 25" full height, 10.5" OSD base, 21 lbs
- High contrast Haré (Hari, Khari) wood, solid one piece construction, uniform thickness, imported direct
- Wood seasoned and handcarved in Guinea, West Africa, sealed on the outside with medium gloss wood sealant
- Standard thick goat skin from West Africa, wet shaved and hydrated with a bit of shea butter
- 5mm black low-stretch drum rope for the 32 pairs of vertical ropes, first row of tuning started
- 4mm red drum rope for top loops and bottom loops, single hitch loop pattern on bottom ring
- Cotton cloth used to wrap bottom and top rings, including flesh hoop to prevent rust damage to skin
- Rope handle installed underneath the verticals gives you a place to attach your strap
- Extra tuning rope included, wrapped around neck for storage
- All 1/4" rings custom fitted very tight, locking in the tension, with added security in the 4 ring system
- Recycled thick black rubber pad permanently fixed to the bottom edge, for wood protection and playing comfort
- Professionally shaped bearing edge, curved and angled for maximum comfort and ease of sound
- Skin cut above top rings shows color of cloth and rope, adding an aesthetic element
- Ledge for bottom ring adds stability and helps keep tension even when tuning
- Angluar deep carved design patterns cover the bottom 1/2 of base

This djembe shell was imported by Djembe Direct and custom built by Kaz Speirs for our drum workshop in Salt Lake City, UT. Kaz has built hundreds of djembes over many years, which are being played today by professional musicians all over the world.
