Professional Djembe 14X25 DK109
Dark Iroko carved to perfect proportions on thicker wood, medium thick goat skin, and even tuning yield a very loud, semi-wet professional djembe. With completion of the first row this djembe will be even wet-dry. The larger throat and stem bring up the bass note, making it more audible with a quicker decay - great for soloing. Everybody seems to love our custom-designed 14" Iroko shells, and this is a great example of why. Along with a money back guarantee, here is what this professional djembe features:
- 13.5" OSD wood, 24.75" full height, 9.5 " OSD base, 18 lbs
- Even colored, dark brown, thicker Iroko hardwood, solid one piece construction, uniform thickness, imported direct
- Wood seasoned and handcarved in Ivory Coast, West Africa, treated inside and out with coconut oil and shea butter
- mediumthick goat skin from West Africa, wet shaved and hydrated with a bit of shea butter
- 5mm mix burgundy low-stretch drum rope for the 32 pairs of vertical ropes, first row of tuning started
- 4mm green drum rope for top loops and bottom loops, single hitch loop pattern on bottom ring
- Cotton cloth used to wrap bottom and top rings, including flesh hoop to prevent rust damage to skin
- Rope handle installed underneath the verticals gives you a place to attach your strap
- Extra tuning rope included, wrapped around neck for storage
- All 1/4" rings custom fitted very tight, locking in the tension
- Ledge for bottom ring adds stability and helps keep tension even when tuning
- High durometer black rubber pad permanently fixed to the bottom edge, for wood protection and playing comfort
- Professionally shaped bearing edge, curved and angled for maximum comfort and ease of sound
- Skin molded to cover top rings, protecting the loops and adding an aesthetic element
- Simple and elegant deep carved design patterns cover the bottom 1/3 of base
- This djembe will fit our Professional Djembe Case well, offering great protection for your investment
- The pictures above are of the EXACT DRUM described above, not just an example; once purchased, we remove it from the website
