Well proportioned Mali shell, very dense, heavy Duki, with a thick goat skin. The djembe is at a nice even wet/dry balance, very responsive and bright. Along with a money back guarantee, here is what this professional djembe features:

• 12.75" OSD wood, 24" full height, 8.75 " OSD base, 22 lbs
• Dark Dugura (Duki, Dimba) hardwood, solid one piece construction, uniform thickness, imported direct
• Wood seasoned and handcarved in Mali, West Africa, treated inside and outside with coconut oil and karite
• Thick cow skin from West Africa, wet shaved and hydrated with a bit of shea butter
• 5mm mix blue low-stretch drum rope for the 32 pairs of vertical ropes, first row of tuning started
• 4mm blue drum rope for top loops and bottom loops, single hitch loop pattern on bottom ring
• Cotton cloth used to wrap bottom and top rings, including flesh hoop to prevent rust damage to skin
• Rope handle installed underneath the verticals gives you a place to attach your strap
• Extra tuning rope included, wrapped around neck for storage
• All 1/4" rings custom fitted very tight, locking in the tension
• High durometer black rubber pad permanently fixed around the bottom edge, for wood protection and playing comfort
