Curved Talking Drum Mallet

This handmade beater is generally used with talking drums or other smaller hand-held drums, though many dunun players prefer this kind of curved beater. It is made out of a solid stick that has been curved at one end and held in place with a string. All of our curved mallets come from West Africa, are roughly the same size, and are covered by our warranty. NOTE: Beaters should never be used on high tension drums with thinner animal skins. This includes most djembes, ashikos, doumbeks, etc. If you are not sure whether mallet use is appropriate for your particular drum, contact us and we'll try to help.
